GUANAJUATO HOUSE

GUANAJUATO, MEXICO

This design was submitted to a contest for a housing development on a steep parcel of land in the city of Guanajuato, Mexico. The rooms are staggered in elevation such that the design can be adjusted to any site. The home is designed to be replicable and cost-effective, for students, roommates or young families. Making use of raw materials, the homes have concrete floors, one colored concrete wall, and three block walls covered in stucco. The plan can be flipped along the concrete wall to create townhomes. Additionally, all of the windows and doors are the same size.
